The system works to supply local loads and inject surplus power into the
grid.
4.3.3.2 Wind Energy
This form of energy source uses wind power to generate electricity
(Fig. 4.2).
The generator used for a wind farm is a double-feed induction generator.
This type of generator cannot provide the power grid with fixed voltage and
frequency without the use of a controller.
