commercial vendors are supporting conformance checking. Also the more advanced
features discussed in Part III (e.g., operational support and short-term simulation)
are rarely supported. Given the increased emphasis on compliance, corporate gover-
nance, risk management, and performance management, it can be expected that also
conformance checking and operational support will be added to the next generation
of BPM systems.
