❏ The relationship between you and your top employees is
vital for retaining those employees.
❏ You’re responsible for completing the onboarding process
for all of your new employees, but particularly for top per-
formers.
❏ You must set realistic, challenging, and relevant goals for
your top employees.
❏ You must implement a realistic, challenging, and relevant
performance appraisal process.
❏ You must design and implement an individual growth plan
for each employee.
❏ You must act as a buffer between any of your employees
and other managers.
