Planning and launching the TPM pilot 161
Given below are ‘Terms of Reference’ for the XYZ Company TPM Steering Group.
The Group should comprise no more than six members.
To provide the Executive with a regular TPM Progress update
To communicate and co-ordinate the TPM Activity at the XYZ Company
To establish the level of resource and infrastructure to support the TPM Activity and agree
the key success factors
To set up and monitor the necessary TPM and CAN DO Audit & Review and Measurement
Process
To establish common TPM and CAN DO Training Programmes, Materials, Procedure and
Completion Criteria (from Pilots + Roll Out + Continuous Improvement)
To ensure a regular and detailed update of the TPM Pilot Projects and CAN DO Improvement
Zone Progress
To ensure that any roadblocks to Progress are addressed, action agreed and resolved
To confirm TPM Pilot Meeting dates are set and to ensure that these meetings take place and
that equipment is released for any essential planned refurbishment
To establish the TPM Policy & Procedure for the XYZ Company operations
