Eventually, the total kinetic energy is reduced to a negligible level that it can be said that
the pebbles are at state of rest. The final state of rest is shown in Figure 5.17.
It is evident from this example that the Munjiza direct integration scheme is clearly
able to predict complex behaviour. The virtual pebbles presented were created from 3D
laser scans of rock pebbles. The sequence, when animated at speed, gives a remarkably
