And we’ve included three of the programs from Chapter 10:

❏ FlyingRobots Contains the Flying Robots game for Palm OS.
❏ Welded Contains the Welded Warriors game for Palm OS.
❏ PBrick Contains the Programmable Brick Library that provides an
interface between the Palm OS and a Lego MindStorms controller.

Working with the BrainStem
The BrainStem folder (in the Other Applications folder) contains all the soft-
ware developed by Acroname for use with the PPRK. This software is further
divided by operating system. Acroname has built versions of their software
for all the major platforms, including the Palm OS, Windows, Mac, and Linux.

If you navigate to the directory for your system, you will find archive files
containing the BrainStem applications that we used in Chapters 4 through 8.
To install the software you simply extract the archive onto your hard drive.
Here’s some of the software you will find:
❏ Config Contains the Config program that can be used to
test the sensors and servos of the robot.
❏ Console Contains the Console application that is used to
compile and load TEA programs to the BrainStem.
❏ GP Contains the GP application that can be used to test
the A/D, digital, and output ports of the BrainStem.

❏ Cdev Contains files useful for writing C programs for the PPRK.
❏ Java Contains files useful for writing Java programs for the
PPRK.
❏ Ref The reference manual for the BrainStem.
❏ PPRK_SDK Contains all the files for TEA programming,
including Config, Console, and GP.
❏ SDK Everything above in one convenient archive.

Installing Palm Applications
Many of the other applications in this folder are from Chapter 10. So, after
scanning that chapter, you might want to try out some of these Palm OS apps.
