28.7.- When components are added to an assembly with existing configurations,

by default, the mates added in the active configuration are suppressed in the other

configurations. In our assembly, we added and mated the 'Worm Gear' and 'Offset

Shaft' while the "No Gears" configuration was active; therefore, the mates added

to locate these parts are suppressed in the 'With Gears' and 'Simplified'

configurations.

Since the 'Worm Gear' and 'Offset Shaft' are used in the 'Simplified'

configuration, we need to Unsuppress their mates. At this point, we have added

many mates to our assembly. To locate the mates we need to Unsuppress in the

'Simplified' configuration, we have two options:

1. Select the 'Offset Shaft' and the pop-up list will show the name of the mates

used by this component; expand the mates folder and Unsuppress them.

2. After selecting the 'Offset Shaft' activate the PropertyManager tab at the top.

The mates used by the selected component will be listed, and they can be

Unsuppressed here. Unsuppress both mates to continue.
