GUIDE SPECIFICATION FOR
WATERPROOFING

The guide specifications in this chapter are included to assist in the preparation of project
specifications for both new construction and remedial projects. The specifications are repro-
duced from manufacturers’ recommendations and should form the basic specification for
each waterproofing requirement on a building project. The specifications can be revised as
appropriate, including the approved equivalent products for each category.
The specifications follow the Construction Specifications Institute numbering system.
Chapter 16 can be used as a resource to contact the manufacturers for suggested provisions
for any unique job-specific requirement that is necessary. Included in the specifications:
