1991; Dario et al., 1996; Taylor, 2006; Okamura et al., 2010; Bogue,
2011; Ferrigno et al., 2011; Beasley, 2012; Poorten et al., 2012;
Ni, 2015; Cianchetti et al., 2018; Troccaz et al., 2019).
In particular, most of the survey papers are devoted to surgical robotics
(Howe and Matsuoka, 1999; Cleary and Nguyen, 2001; Jaikumar et al.,
2002; Lanfranco et al., 2004; Puangmali et al., 2008; Taylor, 2008; van
der Meijden and Schijven, 2009; Kalan et al., 2010; Trejos et al., 2010;
Dogangil et al., 2010; Gomes, 2011; Mattei et al., 2014; Burgner-Kahrs
et al., 2015; Davies, 2015; Leal Ghezzi and Campos Corleta, 2016;
Enayati et al., 2016; Shi et al., 2017; Dı ´az et al., 2017; Peters et al., 2018;
Simaan et al., 2018; Gifari et al., 2019).
Several survey papers are also devoted to rehabilitation and assistive
robotics (Miller, 1998; Feil-Seifer and Mataric, 2005; Tapus et al., 2007;
Johnson et al., 2008; Broadbent et al., 2009; Chen et al., 2013a,b;
Yan et al., 2015; Liu et al., 2016; Aliman et al., 2017; Meng et al., 2017;
Rupal et al., 2017).
In this framework, we have also reported many interesting survey book
chapters (Davies, 1996; Hillman, 2006; Speich and Rosen, 2008; Taylor
et al., 2008, 2016; Walker and Green, 2009; Okamura et al., 2011; Martins

et al., 2012; Matari and Scassellati, 2016; Frisoli, 2018; Moreno et al., 2018;
Ruiz-Olaya et al., 2019; Witte and Collins, 2020).
