Figure 12-43 shows an array of super bright LED’s on a
standard bayonet base. These units are intended to provide a
long life, high efficiency replacement for standard incandes- LED Segments Terminals
cent bulbs.
Another common use for LED’s is in seven segment dis-
plays, as shown in Figure 12-44. The most noteworthy appli-
cation is in ordinary digital alarm clocks where the bright red
