420°C and condenser was used to collect the condensate. The oil fraction
was collected and weighed after degradation reaction. However, the non-
condensable gases were collected in gas storage tank (Fig. 11.4). Appropriate
temperature, catalyst-LDPE ratio, and different reaction time are chosen for
optimum conversion. After degradation process, fuel oil was separated into
different fraction (range of 40–380°C).
In this context, fuel oil was produced using both thermal and catalytic
degradation process. In thermal degradation process, the raw material con-
sisting of 300 g LDPE is collected in the customized reactor and subsequently
it is heated electrically at different temperature range (250–420°C for 4 h).
