Project Objective
Create three folders: PROJECTS, MY-TEMPLATES, and VENDOR COMPONENTS.
Create the PART-MM-ANSI Part template utilized for the parts in this project.
Create three parts:
• PLATE
• ROD
• GUIDE
On the completion of this project, you will be able to:
• Create file folders to manage and organize projects.
• Apply and understand System Options and Document Properties.
• Create a Part template.
• Open, Save and Close Part documents and templates.
• Create 2D sketch profiles on the proper Sketch plane.
• Utilize the following Sketch tools: Line, Comer Rectangle, Circle, Arc, Trim Entities,
Convert Entities, Straight Slot and Mirror Entities.
• Apply and edit sketch dimensions.
• Insert the following Geometric relations: Horizontal, Vertical, Symmetric, Equal and
Coradial.
• Create and modify 3D parts.
• Create and modify the following SOLIDWORKS features: Extruded Boss\Base,
Extruded Cut, Fillet, Mirror, Hole Wizard (Slot hole), Chamfer, and Linear Pattern.
