314 CHAPTER 9 SHOWING WORK TO YOUR CLIENTS
An In-Photoshop Demonstration
For impromptu meetings at your computer monitor, you can use Photoshop itself to present images
to a client. Images are displayed against a black background, without the toolbox or palettes appear-
ing on the screen, and the slides are manually advanced using the keyboard.
1. Press Shift+Ctrl+O to open the File Browser.
2. Using the controls in the File Browser, navigate to the Web Photo Gallery folder under Chapter 9
on the companion CD.
3. Select All (press Ctrl+A). Double-click any one of the images to open all selected in document
windows (see Figure 9.24). Close the File Browser. Make sure the rulers do not display. (Press
Ctrl+R to toggle them off if necessary.)

WARNING If you do not close the File Browser, it will appear as a slide in your presentation.
4. Press F to switch to Full Screen Mode With Menu Bar. The window of the top document itself
disappears, but its content appears against a neutral gray background. The neutral background
is appropriate for making decisions about color, but not necessarily for presentation.
5. Hold down Shift and click the Full Screen Mode button near the bottom of the
toolbox. Now the image appears against a black background that is better for formal presen-
tation. Holding down Shift while making this change alters the mode of all the images that are
currently open; they are all in Full Screen mode now.
6. Hide the toolbox and palettes by pressing the Tab key. Now the image is presentable against
a black background. The Windows taskbar is also hidden. (Press Alt+Tab to switch tasks if
necessary.)
