Subpart O: Motor Vehicles, Mechanized Equipment, and Marine Operations
1926.600. General requirements of the equipment are given. The provisions for use of
heavy machinery and equipment suspended by use of hoists, slings, or jacks are given. The
use, care, and charging of batteries are dealt with.
1926.601. This subsection covers motor vehicles used at construction sites not open to
public traffic. Provisions for general requirements of the use of motor vehicles are given.
1926.602. The requirements of earthmoving equipment are provided in this subsection. Seat
belts, access roadways and grades, brakes, fenders, rollover protective structures, rollover pro-
tective structures for off-highway trucks, audible alarms, scissor points, etc., are dealt with.
Requirements for excavating and lifting and hauling equipment are also provided.
1926.603. All requirements of pile-driving equipment from land and from barges and
floats are provided.
1926.604. Provisions for site clearing are provided.
1926.605. This subsection deals with material-handling operations, access to barges,
working surfaces of barges, and commercial diving operations, including first aid and life-
