their transportation to the Cadarache site, will be assembled in an on-site work-
shop. Then they will be installed in the SIP and welded.
The cryostat is surrounded by a 1.2-m-thick concrete bioshield with a ra-
dial clearance of approximately 0.5 m. For cryostat component replacement,
the upper part of the bioshield is removed, and its lid is opened using bridge
cranes.
