3. Configure the IP address.
■ Click the Network category and then the LAN subcategory.
■ Input the static IP address you chose for the WL-HDD.
■ Input a netmask of 255.255.255.0, the standard for most all networks.
■ Also input your home network’s default gateway and DNS server settings.
Figure 14-6 shows the configuration settings for a WL-HDD with IP address
192.168.0.100 using a router and DNS server on 192.168.0.1.
OpenWrt will always pre-fill the DNS server text box with 192.168.1.1 in an attempt to help you
out. If that’s correct for you, great. Otherwise, just ignore it.
■ Click Save Changes but do not click Apply Changes yet.
