two peaks appear at higher temperature. On reheating, a single endothermal
peak appears that may be used to estimate unhydrated C S. The percentage

of C S hydrated at different times determined by DTA was plotted against

those obtained by XRD method. The correlation between the two methods
is very good (Fig. 18).
