VSM Value Stream Mapping.
Waiting One of the seven wastes, it is the waiting of people for any reason including waiting
for information, parts, or machines.

WIP Work In Process. All materials in the production process once they are withdrawn
from the storehouse until they are stored as finished goods. One of the three basic forms of
inventory which are raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Work element stack A graphic tool to show how work elements combine so line balancing
can be achieved.
Yokoten The concept of sharing process improvement ideas with others and applying these
in other applications beyond the original concept.
