314 nm. Oxidized and protein-bound captopril was converted to reduced form using triphenylphosphine
and derivatized and quantified in the same manner. The detection limit was 0.3 ng/ml and the
calibration range was 10-500 ng/ml.
BCPB Application: Determination of Captopril in Human Plasma [141]
Human plasma was deproteinized using 3 M perchloric acid and neutralized with 1 M NaOH. To the
solution, 1 M Tris buffer (pH 8.2) and 20 mg/ml BCPB solution were added and derivatized for 15 min.
After acidifying by adding 4 M phosphoric acid, the reaction mixture was centrifuged and the derivative
