2.3.2 Double Busbar/One Circuit Breaker Arrangement
This arrangement is more expensive than a single busbar arrangement
but more reliable in maintenance. The circuit can be transferred from
the main busbar to the reserve busbar by connecting the bus coupler to
make a path for the current in the circuit during the transfer process
(Fig. 2.8). The disconnectors cannot be switched off on loads unless
there is a path for the current. This scheme is the most commonly used
for most utilities.
