Now having derived equations that describe the relative contributions from the column and the
connecting tube, the magnitude of these effects can be examined. The data for the three most commonly
used capillary columns in GC are summarized in Table 3.1, where (U o(opt.) ) and (H min. ) were calculated

Table 3.1 provides some important information with respect to the general properties of capillary
