It is seen from table 3.2, that the GC capillary column and the LC packed columns behave somewhat
similarly. The efficiencies decrease and consequently, the peaks get broader using larger particles or
larger diameter capillaries. For both types of column, the efficiency falls with increasing (k') values
over the range examined. The peak widths from the standard columns are not greatly different from the
GC columns, although the GC columns are two orders of magnitude longer than the LC columns.
