■ 2006—Fortune magazine’s “Top 100 Companies to Work For”
in the United States ranked Griffin Hospital fourth. It is the highest
ranking ever achieved by a hospital. Griffin is the only hospital in the
country to be named to the prestigious list seven times.
■ 2006—Griffin Hospital president Patrick Charmel received the John
D. Thompson Distinguished Visiting Fellow Award at Yale University.
The fellowship is to bring leaders in health administration to Yale’s
public health school to share their career experiences.
■ 2004—Total Benchmark Solutions awarded Griffin Hospital the “Top
100” Quality Award. The award is based on analysis of data related to
Heart Attack Care, Heart Failure Care, and Pneumonia Care provided
