robot by sending simple text commands to the SV203 controller. For example,
if you look on page 10 of your SV203 technical manual, the command to select
a servo is
SVn
where n is the servo number. The command to move the servo (found on page
11 of the manual) is
Mn
where n is a number from 0 to 255.
Any software that can connect and send strings of data over a serial line can
be used to control the robot. A number of ingenious people have used other
languages to write sample programs for the PPRK. The Carnegie Mellon
PPRK software page has a link that will take you to some of these sample
programs. Look for the sentence that reads Programs Written By The PPRK
Community! Click Here. Click the link to go to the Community Programs
page. Alternatively, go directly to this web page: www-2.cs.cmu.edu/
~pprk/programs.html.
When we last visited it, the page included a few BASIC programs and a C
program to fiddle with; more may be offered by the time you read this.
