To make your life easier, all the files from Acroname are already included
on the CD-ROM with this book. Simply locate the file you need and unpack it
to your hard drive. In the event you’ve lost the CD, or you want to check for
the latest versions of the files, we’ll show you how to do that next.
Acroname is continuously updating its software. During the time this book
was written, the software was updated from version 14 to version 15. If you
want to get the latest BrainStem software, start by going to Acroname’s web
site at www.acroname.com. Click the Downloads link in the About Robotics
set of links, as shown here:

Before you can download any software, Acroname requires that you create a
login account. After entering the required information, as shown next, you will
be able to navigate to the actual downloads page. (To the best of our knowledge,
Acroname doesn’t do anything nefarious with your login information. If you
