          TYPES OF MEETINGS

Some common types of CM/GC home office meetings are listed in Exhibit 13-3.

A sample list of construction project meetings is shown Exhibit 13-4.

It is important to note that the administration of a project with all of the different meet-
ings, special administrative requirements, and reports can sometimes be more complex
and challenging than the actual construction of the project itself. The project manager
(PM) and staff must therefore have both excellent construction technology and admin-
istrative management skills in order to be successful.

DEFINITION AND PURPOSE OF THE MOST
          COMMON MEETINGS

Brief summaries of the purpose and focus of some of the most frequently held meetings
          are as follows:

          Project Meeting

This meeting is focused on the overall status of the project and seeks to share with all
concerned parties the major issues, opportunities, and challenges facing the project and
the project team. The architect or owner representative will usually conduct this meeting
