Import the data

Validate the data to create valid data files

Process the data to compute derived quantities like shear, en-

ergy density, and others
Generate reports.

The first data management step arises during setup of the tower and
data server. The first step is to check the sensor parameters and units
of measure of data arriving at the server against parameters supplied
by the sensor manufacturer. This will check for any data entry errors
when entering parameters into the data logger. The next check is to
compare the first few hours of measured data against wind data from
neighboring airport or weather station. This will check for defective
sensors, improper mounting of sensors, and incorrect orientation of
wind vane sensor.
