Contributors of Story and Spirit
Writing, like leadership, is a relational process. There are many people
with whom we have been in dialogue about the ideas in this book for
a long time, some for as long as 30 years. There are others who have
been role models and teachers helping us clarify our thinking and bet-
ter live by the principles we espouse. And still others who have off ered
challenges that have served to strengthen our belief in an apprecia-
tive approach to leadership. This book could not have been written
without them all. Thank you to all our relations, friends, family, col-
leagues, and clients. And to the people, organizations, and commu-
nities named below, we offer our deep and heartfelt appreciation for
your stories, for your encouragement, and for all you have done to
nurture the spirit of this book.
