reduced the overall TTH duration per cycle from 105.22 to 86.25min per cycle per subject, i.e., an
overall improvement of TTH duration per cycle of 18.97min per subject.
EMGa: For EMGa, the rate of improvement in average duration per cycle was reported to be con-
tinuous and steep from start to finish.
The average reduction in TTH duration per cycle was from 128.17 to 76.52min, i.e., 51.65min of
improvement recorded per cycle per subject.
From the above analysis, we can conclude that EMGa showed better overall improvement in re-
duction of TTH duration per cycle when compared to EMGv and EMGav. The total dropouts were
7, 5, and 8, respectively.
Therefore, in the longer run, EMGav and EMGv will not be as beneficial as EMGa.
5.8.23 TREND ON CORRELATION OF TTH DURATION AND INTENSITY
This analysis was performed to establish the relationship of duration of TTH pain t with the intensity of
pain. Chronic intensity pain generally stays for a longer duration. Fig. 5.32 reveals the interesting anal-
ysis of subjects’ TTH pain duration correlation with TTH pain intensity. The trends observed are as
follows:
The baseline data for the three groups are mostly high TTH intensity and high TTH duration and the
correlation between these parameters was high. After applying the different trend models such as lin-
ear, logarithmic, exponential, polynomial, and power model, we found the best fitted trend in power
model. Hence the power model trend was analyzed. The mathematical modeling of the power model is
given as follows: (Tables 5.20–5.22).
