2.02 ALTERNATES AND SUBSTITUTIONS

Ed Note: Presently there is only one manufacturer who markets a single-source drainage composite with Site Specific fabrics. Other
manufacturers market a drainage composite system with standard geotextile fabrics. Below alternate should be for a drainage composite with
either Standard or Site Specific fabrics.
A. Alternate (Manufacturers/Products): In lieu of providing below specified base bid/contract
manufacturer, provide below specified alternate manufacturers. Refer to Division 1 Alternates
Section.
1. Base Bid/Contract Manufacturer/Product: Mirafi Moisture Protection Products,
Nicolon/Mirafi Group.
a. Product: Prefabricated Drainage Composite
1. Drainage: Miradrain Prefabricated Drainage Composite
Ed Note: Number below alternates in accordance with the project requirements and office specification practices. Determine alternate type.
Verify alternate manufacturer/product designations. Add product attributes/characteristics for product equivalency, such as drainage
composite, Including drainage core and tabric.
2. Alternate # Manufacturer/Product: W. R. Grace

1. Drainage: Hydroduct Drainage Composite
B. Substitutions: Refer to Division 1 General Requirements for substitution requirements.

2.04 SOURCE QUALITY CONTROL
A. Single Source Responsibility: Obtain drainage composite and accessories from a single
source supplier for required warranty.
