Project 3: Fundamentals of Assembly Modeling

(Bottom up)

Project 3 introduces the fundamentals of Assembly

Modeling (Bottom-up) along with creating Standard

mates ( Coincident, Concentric, Distance, Parallel,

Tangent), Mechanical mate (Slot), SmartMates and

the Quick mate procedure.

• Create an Assembly template. Review the

Assembly FeatureManager syntax.

• Create two assemblies: GUIDE-ROD and

CUSTOMER.

• Edit component dimensions and address

tolerance and fit.

• Incorporate design changes into an assembly.

Obtain additional SOLIDWORKS parts using

30 ContentCentral and the SOLIDWORKS

Toolbox.
