Exercise 3.2: Weight-Link Assembly
Create the Weight-Link assembly. The Weight-Link
assembly has two components and a sub-assembly: Axle
component, FLATBAR component and the Weight-Hook
sub-assembly that you created in Exercise 3.1.
• Create a new assembly document. Copy and insert the
Axle part from the Chapter 3 Homework folder.
• Fix the Axle component to the Origin of the assembly .
• Copy and insert the FLA TBAR part from the
Chapter 3 Homework folder.
• Insert a Concentric mate between the Axle cylindrical
face and the FLATBAR inside face of the top circle.
• Insert a Coincident mate between the Front Plane of
the Axle and the Front Plane of the FLA TBAR.
• Insert a Coincident mate between the Right Plane of
the Axle and the Top Plane of the FLATBAR. Position
the FLA TBAR as illustrated.
• Insert the Weight-Hook sub-assembly that you created
in exercise 3 .1.
• Insert a Tangent mate between the inside
bottom cylindrical face of the FLA TBAR ip Mate Alignment
and the top circular face of the HOOK in
the Weight-Hook assembly. Tangent mate is >
