Define Custom Properties for Material and Surface TITLE:
Finish in the GUIDE part. Return to the GUIDE GUIDE SUPPORT
drawing to complete the Title block. The design team
decided that the GUIDE part would be fabricated from

304 Stainless Steel. There are numerous types of B 56-22222 A
Stainless steels for various applications. Select the
SCALE: 1: 1 WEIGHT: SHEET 1 OF 1
correct material for the application. This is critical!
AISI 304 was set in the part. Open the GUIDE part
and create the Material Custom Property. The AISI
304 value propagates to the drawing. Surface Finish is another important property in
machining. The GUIDE utilizes an all around 0.80µm high grade machined finish. The
numerical value refers to the roughness height of the machined material. Surface finish
adds cost and time to the part. Work with the manufacturer to specify the correct part
finish for your application.
