Project 6 - Swept, Lofted, and Additional Features
Project Objective
Create four parts: 0-RING, SWITCH, LENSCAP and HOUSING of the FLASHLIGHT
assembly. Create four assemblies: LENSANDBULB, CAP AND LENS,
BATTERYANDPLATE and the final FLASHLIGHT assembly.
On the completion of this project, you will be able to:
• Select the best Sketch profile.
• Choose the proper Sketch plane.
• Develop three 0-RING configurations using a Design Table.
• Create an Assembly Template with Document Properties.
• Apply Bottom-up assembly modeling techniques.
• Calculate assembly interference.
• Export SOLIDWORKS files.
• Utilize the following SOLIDWORKS features:
o Swept Boss/Base.
o Lofted Boss/Base.
o Extruded Boss/Base.
o Revolved Boss/Base.
o Extruded Cut.
o Revolved Cut.
o Draft.
o Dome.
o Rib.
o Circular Pattern and Linear Pattern.
o Mirror.
