124 CHAPTER 4 YOU AND YOUR ENTOURAGE

                    Adding People to an Elevation
If you have the PlumTreeEntourage.psd file still open from the previous exercise, you can continue
here; if not, open that file from the CD before following these steps.
                       1. Open the files BuildingElevation.tif and WomanFront.psd from the companion CD. Fig-
ure 4.27 shows the elevation (see Chapter 6) without any entourage as yet.

                  Figure 4.27
                  A building elevation
                  without entourage

You can drag and drop an entourage layer from one image to another in Photoshop. Entourage
layers that have the foreground object surrounded by transparency work best because the
entourage will not obscure the document you paste it into.

                       2. Click the title bar of the WomanFront.psd document window. The layers of this document
appear in the Layers palette. Drag the WomanFront layer from the palette and drop it any-
where inside the BuildingElevation.tif document window, as shown in Figure 4.28.
To make the woman smaller with respect to the building, we’ll transform the WomanFront
layer. You can both scale and move this layer using the Transform command.
