               The COST 231 multiwall model is also an empirical model that is used for the propaga­
               tion within the buildings.46 This model predicts a linear component of loss in dB, propor­
               tional to the number of walls penetrated, plus a term that depends on the number of floors
               penetrated, as shown below;

               where L is the free space loss for the straight-line (direct) path between the transmitter and
