Other benefits of purchasing and installing a grinder exist in addition to the finan-
cial advantage. By grinding the polypropylene, the volume of material is reduced
which lowers the transportation costs and also increases the value of the material to
the customer since further processing will not be needed.
Another option for the polypropylene is to have an outside vendor recycle it.
Findlay Foam, a local vendor, has expressed interest in the battery cases and buttons.
Some vendors interested in recycling polypropylene are listed in Table 8.12 along with
their conditions. All prices are given in dollars per pound.
