                    108 The Ultimate Palm Robot

previously started the GP application and changed tabs, select the Analog tab
now. You will see five horizontal bars labeled A/D 0 to A/D 4. With the PPRK
turned on and connected to your Palm or PC, place your hand in front of one
of the sensors. You should see the corresponding horizontal bar change size,
depending on how far your hand is from the sensor. Now check the other two
sensors. If everything is working properly, the application should show a re-
sponse from each of the sensors.

You should also make sure that the sensors are connected in the correct con-
figuration. Recall from Chapter 3 that sensor 1 is opposite the BrainStem con-
troller and closest to the battery pack. Looking at the PPRK from above,
sensor 2 is the next sensor clockwise (to the left of the controller), and sensor 3
                               is the remaining sensor.

                               Checking the Digital Ports

The PPRK we built in Chapter 3 does not have anything attached to the digital
ports of the BrainStem controller. If you did have any digital devices attached
