            Pocket Plate
            There are two basic types of plate structure, a thick plate comprising per-
            forated steel sheets between which the active material is compressed,
            usually in the form of pockets or tubes. This method of construction
            affords cells with a relatively long discharge period (see Fig. 7.28a and b).
