Taking charge of change also requires a comprehensive change
strategy that includes the following:
1. Increasing the Demand and desire for change
2. Creating a compelling Vision for the change
3. Developing a systematic Plan and process for the change
initiative
4. Reducing Resistance to the change
5. Anchoring the Change in the future organization
These five elements of the change strategy are overlaid on the
elements of managing change, as shown in the Take Charge of
Change graphic (Figure 8.2).
