Detail Drawing
17.1 0. -After adding the configurations to the 'Housing' we'll make a detail drawing
of each one.
For the first drawing, make sure the "Forge" configuration is the currently
active configuration and select the menu
"File, Make Drawing from Part" or from the [J ... ~ ... . ... ~ ... ... ~
"New" document drop-down command, go ----~
to the "Templates" tab which has the default
templates and select the template named
"Drawing." ,.
By starting a drawing with the "Forge" G19J Shell () (]Mirror
configuration selected, the drawing views
created will have the forge version of the 'Housing'. The drawing views for the
"Machined" configuration will be added later in the lesson. Just like we can change
units and detailing standards, we can also change the configuration referenced in
a drawing view as needed.

17 .11. -After selecting the drawing template, we are asked to pick a sheet size to
use for this drawing. Select the "8-Landscape" Sheet Size and turn off the "Display
Sheet Format" option. Click OK to continue.

The "Sheet Format" is the part of the drawing that contains the title block
and related annotations. It will be covered in detail later; we are not including
it at this time to focus on basic drawing functionality instead.
