● The VTR controls below the playback window. The status display

below the controls should read “VTR OK.” If it reads “No
Communication,” your VTR is not on or not properly
connected. Check to see that your VTR is properly powered up
and that the FireWire cable is securely connected to both the
VTR and your computer. Pushing Play , or tapping the
spacebar, engages the tape in the VTR. Pushing Stop ,or
tapping the spacebar again, pauses the tape.
● Locate the Capture buttons in the lower right-hand corner.

Now, single Clip capture, and capture a Batch of Logged Clips.
Each method has its advantages depending on the current
132 situation. Playing a tape and clicking Capture Now causes the
current audio and video to be immediately recorded on the
Scratch Disk. To end the capture, just hit the Escape key in the
upper left-hand corner of the keyboard. An “Untitled” file
appears in the browser window. This file may then be single
clicked and named.
