successfully conceptualized and executed many high profile events
including The Citi Performing Arts Center’s 25th Silver Anniversary,
Mayor Thomas M Menino’s 2006 Inaugural Celebration, the Boston
Red Sox 2004 Hall of Fame Dinner and the launch of The Container
Store in both Chestnut Hill and Natick. Steven serves on various local
boards including Boston Partners in Education and the Multicultural
AIDS Coalition. He is active with Community Servings, an organization
that delivers hot meals to individuals and families living at home with
AIDS, is a member of the Human Rights Campaign Federal Club and is
active with Children’s Hospital League, Save Venice and the MSPCA
(Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). He is
a graduate of Boston College and resides in Boston’s South End and
Ogunquit, Maine.
Silvia Pendás de Cassina (Mexico) has been a commu-
nicator for the past 35 years in Mexico and has wide-
spread experience in crisis and issues management.
Silvia managed the Alaska Airlines Flight 261 case and
worked closely with Boeing Commercial Airplanes and
Alaska Airlines to support crisis management efforts in
Mexico. She also supported crisis management issues
after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 for her client Continental Airlines. She
is currently President of Silvia Pendás, SA, a PR and communication
firm based in Mexico, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Prior to
joining Silvia Pendás, SA, she was Vice-President of two leading PR
firms in Mexico. Educated in the United States and Europe, Silvia
holds a Master’s Degree in Italian and Linguistics from Georgetown
University in Washington, DC. She is a member of Damas Publicistas de
Mexico and the Public Relations Society of America, and is an honorary
board member of Casa de la Amistad para Niños con Cancer, a non-
profit organization dedicated to helping children with cancer in
Mexico.
Nuria Sánchez (Spain), Executive Director of
Quantumleap since 1997, is responsible for client rela-
tions, design and execution of communication strate-
gies and PR plans. Previously, Nuria was Advertising
and PR Manager of Editemo, an automotive editorial
group and consultant in several market research com-
panies. Nuria has lectured in different communication
forums and seminars. She has a degree in Advertising and Public
Relations and a Master’s in Business Communication from
Complutense, University of Madrid.
