fronting The condition in which the elution profile of a peak is
skewed before the peak maximum. See asymmetry.
Freundlich isotherm Describes the distribution of an analyte
between the stationary phase, C s, and the mobile phase, C m, as:

where K is the Freundlich distribution coefficient and N is the
Freundlich exponent. When N = 1, a linear isotherm results.
