outlet product quality. The circulation pump is used to regulate and maintain a
relatively constant flow of sludge from the bottom to the top of the membrane.
The module is subjected to periodic chemical cleaning based on the drop
of flux using a UF filtrate. The chemicals used for the chemical cleaning are
sodium hypochlorite and citric acid/hydrochloric acid.
