                                     A Raspberry Pi Expansion Board















  I     n this chapter, we will look in detail at another of the author’s open-source hardware (OSH)


        projects, specifically, version two of the RaspiRobot board (www.raspirobot.com). This board
  (Figure 9-1) is designed to allow a Raspberry Pi single-board computer to be powered by batteries

  and also to control two direct-current (dc) motors. The board has a number of interfaces including to
  an HC-SR-04 ultrasonic range finder, a 5V I2C interface designed to easily accommodate displays
  and other I2C devices, and a pair of open-collector outputs.
