-;Q~ Suppress Patterns when not required. Patterns contain repetitive geometry that takes
time to rebuild. Pattern features also clutter the part during the model creation process.
Suppress patterns as you continue to create more complex features in the part.
Unsuppress a feature to restore the display and load into memory for future calculations.
Hide features to improve clarity. Show feature to
display hidden features.
Rib sketches are not required to be fully defined. The
Linear Rib option blends sketched geometry into
existing contours of the model.
+
Example: Create an offset reference plane from the +
inside back face of the HOUSING.
Sketch two under defined arcs. Insert a Rib feature
with the Linear option. The Rib extends to the Shell
walls.
HOUSING Part· Second Rib Feature
The Second Rib feature supports and centers the BATTERY. The Rib is sketched on a
reference plane created through a point on the Handle and parallel with the Right Plane.
The Rib sketch references the Origin and existing geometry in the HOUSING. Utilize an
Intersection and Coincident relation to define the sketch.
I Activity: HOUSING Part - Second Rib Feature
Insert a Reference plane for the second Rib feature. Create a Parallel Plane at Point.
