Feed and product water quality was monitored by analysis of COD,
BOD, pH, alkalinity, and turbidity, while biological parameters such as
MLSS, SVI, and DO were measured. All the analytical parameters were

              Tables 9.5 and 9.6 respectively.

              9.11 RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Initially, a single-stage bioreactor process was proposed for the treatment of
wastewater. It was observed that by maintaining biological parameters, more
than a 90% COD reduction can be achieved as required for the discharged
