                             o
The morphology (different land covered and different land used) data affect the calcu
lation of path loss and can be stated as follows:
                    1. The effects of morphology for many different types of land covered and land
used from the basis of the model for the path loss prediction are described in
the automorphology model. With this model, the morphology data are used
to adjust the path loss slope for each grid along the radial beyond the 1-mile
                      intercept.
                    2. When the optional water enhancement is used, the path loss calculation for the
effects of water-reflected waves is adjusted. The morphology data can be used
to determine which grid contains water. This enhancement can be applied to all
                      of the Lee macrocell models.
The morphology data are stored in the morphology directory as a set of files with a
certain extension. Each file can cover a 1 x 1 degree area and is divided into a number
of grids with an average elevation value from the data points spaced at 3-arc-second
               intervals.
