Swept, Lofted and Additional Features Engineering Design with SOLIDWORKS® 2018
The Thread feature is composed of the following:
ThreadSection and ThreadPath.
The ThreadPath contains the circular sketch and the
helical curve.
Most threads require a beveled edge or smooth edge for
the thread part start point. A 3 0° Chamfer feature can be
utilized on the starting edge of the trapezoid face. This
action is left as an exercise.

-;Q~ Create continuous Swept features in a single step.
Pierce the cross section profile at the start of the swept
path for a continuous Swept feature.
,1/
-;Q~ Un-suppress the Pattern feature to resolve both the
Pattern feature and the seed feature at the same time.
The LENSCAP is complete. Review the LENSCAP
before moving onto the last part of the FLASHLIGHT.

HOUSING Part
The HOUSING is a plastic part utilized to contain the
BATTERY and to support the LENS. The HOUSING utilizes
an Extruded Boss/Base, Lofted Boss, Extruded Cut, Draft,
Swept, Rib, Mirror and Linear Pattern features.
